The single and double packers are mainly used for cement grouting and permeability testing.
The basic components of single packers are, dilatable element S mounted on a metal structure WT with a sliding end SE.
The cement grouting it’s done through the central tube CP made of stainless steel and inflation adapter IA.
The twin tubes single packers are used for injection of two components products (resins...). Two similar tubes with same OD run through the packer to inject the two components with a ratio of 1 to1.
The design of these packers makes possible the mixing of the two components below the packer to avoid mixing and hardening of the resin inside the packer and make it re-usable.
The mechanical packers are supplied with a central tube and a rubber membrane. The expansion of the rubber is created with the help of a handle operated manually.
They are used for surface injections.
The maximum expansion rating is approx. 10% of the initial diameter.
The Wireline Packer System is a time-saving method for conducting permeability testing during core drilling.
The test is carried out with the drill string in place, reducing the time required to test in open or unstable formations.
Available for all makes of wireline core barrels (N, H and P), Wireline packers are easily repaired in the field in just minutes.
In the absence of an inflatable packer , the pumped water can :
- Suffer the influence of the atmosphere in contact with the water
- Be the result of mixing of different waters due to leakage , corrosion , absence of casing...
With an inflatable packer :
- The pumping is selective and is made only from the choosen aquifer
- The pumping chamber is isolated and protected from contamination
- Absence of tidal range area reduces the risk of microbiological activity
- The pumping chamber remains under pressure
Geopro offer now three new large packer diameter size : 210, 255 & 285 mm OD.
These packers are used for water testing , sampling , injection and permeability testing in open holes or casings from 220 up to 500 mm.
The 210 mm OD packer is equipped with a 6’’ central tube. The 255 and 285 mm packers are supplied with a 8’’ central tube. We can add upon request 3’’ or 4’’ through tubes .

The PGP35-5 grout pump, double acting motor air-driven, allows the grouting under pressure of different fluids like water, cement slurry or bentonite. It operates on the simple but efficient principle of an automatic reciprocating differential area piston. A relatively large air-operated piston is connected to a smaller high-pressure piston to convert compressed air flow into fluid flow at high pressure.
The standard ratio of 5 multiplies by the air inlet pressure gives an output pressure up to 500 psi ( 35 bar)*.
Its reduced weight and size make it very suitable for narrow space worksite avoiding heavy equipment.
